Introducing Rachel Sheinbein, Our Newest Venture Partner

We would like to welcome the newest member of our Lemnos team, Rachel Sheinbein. Rachel is Lemnos’s newest Venture Partner, advising funded portfolio companies on topics such as fundraising and customer introductions and whatever else might be needed.

Rachel has had a multifaceted career that spans many aspects of hardware development from conception to fundraising to manufacturing. She is currently an advisor and an angel investor for a diverse portfolio of companies.

“I have seen thousands of pitches. In the end, I invest in ideas and teams I want to be a part of and products I want to see in the world,” says Rachel.

Prior to her work as an angel investor, she was a partner at a VC firm focused on clean tech companies, and before that, she had an eight-year career at Intel, including as a chemical engineer, responsible for all water and wastewater in Intel’s factories.

In her “free time”, she is on the board of an organization called Challenge Day and is President of the Board of Expanding Your Horizons Network, a non-profit dedicated to encouraging young women to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers.

“I did something similar when I was in high school and I know the difference it can make in encouraging girls to pursue STEM careers.” says Rachel.

She looks forward to sharing her experience and wide-ranging expertise with Lemnos portfolio companies.

“I love to connect with different teams and help them,” says Rachel. “One of the aspects that drives me is building community. You can always learn from people you didn’t think you could if there are people and a physical space that fosters community, like here at Lemnos. I am impressed by and excited to be part of the team here.”
